About

A long time ago in a Galaxy far far away… just kidding!

Hi! My name is Oscar, I started coding at 12 while attending middle school, at 18 founded my first software consulting firm, Internet Marketing and with it advised several domestic and international customers on for their Internet presence and IT needs. In college I studied Computer Science.

A little bit down the road, I became interested in Java and founded JUGsv, El Salvador's first Java User Group, then several Google technologies caught my attention so co-founded El Salvador's first Google Technologies User Group (formerly known as GTUGs, now GDGs) where served as Speaker/Blogger.

I've had the chance to live and work with multi-cultural teams, on-site and remotely in several cities such as Sao Paulo, Brazil, San Salvador, El Salvador and Washington DC, Miami, FL and New York, NY in the United States.

I've developed, designed and/or architected software for companies and organizations of all sizes such as DataSoft, Avianca/TACA Airlines, EQUIFAX, ACF Technologies, the Inter-American Development Bank, co-founded and led mobile development at Geopon, a mobile commerce/advertising startup, after some time, had the opportunity to work as Director of Technology and Full-Stack Senior Developer at Genome, an award-winning experiential digital agency and startup accelerator where I helped to create several iOS and Android MVPs for incubating startups and collaborated in the creation of web experiences for clients such as United Airlines, EXXON & Mobile and Verizon, later as Senior Software Engineer at The Lifetime Value Compnany, I was in charge of developing and maintaining all Android apps for their BeenVerified, PeopleLooker, NumberGuru and Ownerly brands at the same time of building their Android Team.

Later, I founded my second software consulting firm, Real Action Software and with it I had the chance to work on mobile apps for The Lifetime Value Company and on peer-to-peer money transfer and payment projects for several FinTech companies and Credit Unions based in the West Coast os the USA.

Today, as Lead Software Engineer at Morgan Stanley, I lead a Squad and leveraging AI/Agentic Tools, I help on the maintenance and development of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and E*TRADE mobile Anroid apps, also help develop tools/skills for other Developers/AI Agents to use to help expedite our workflows.

I'm also an independent AI Researcher with my own startup (currently in stealth mode), where I do research, development and experiment with Open Source multi-modal LLMs, World Models and robotics. I love to be involved with the tech and dev community, attending conferences and meetups, participating in hackathons, learning new things and share the little knowledge I have with everyone so it multiplies and benefits the largest amount of people possible.

When I'm not working on a tech product, experimenting or researching, I enjoy traveling, reading, taking long walks, running, swimming, lifting weights, cooking an living a healthy lifestyle.
